The Spokane Police Department (SPD) said that a man is in critical condition at Sacred Heart Hospital after a 19-year-old woman struck him with her car around 4:00 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2026. They responded to reports of the collision near the intersection of Ash Street and Northwest Boulevard.
When they arrived, they suspected that the woman was under the influence. She took field sobriety tests and was arrested. She’s expected to be charged with DUI and vehicular assault. SPD is still investigating the accident. Northwest Boulevard was closed for a couple hours as SPD cleared the scene.
