Finding Help for Victims and Families After Kootenai County Accidents
Idaho traffic accidents have far-reaching consequences. They can leave victims with a long recovery and leave families and friends to mourn the loss of a loved one.
For families who must face incredible grief and also the costs that arise after a car accident, a wrongful death claim can be a necessary action. This claim can demand support from an at-fault driver’s insurance company.
The wrongful death claim would ask for help with funeral expenses, emergency services fees, and estate settlement costs. The claim would also seek assistance in replacing the financial support the victim’s job had provided the family and the salary the deceased would have continued to provide in the future.
A lawyer acting on behalf of the family can file a wrongful death claim and help them hold an insurance company accountable. A wrongful death claim can be necessary to force insurance adjusters into doing the right thing after a terrible accident.
Victims who are seriously hurt in an accident can file a claim for damages against the responsible driver’s auto insurance provider. This claim would list the damages expected to be covered by the insurance company. Damages noted can include hospital bills now and any medical care expected in the future. As the victim misses time at work, those lost wages should be calculated and reimbursed as well.
It’s important to speak with a car accident lawyer about the other steps you should take so that the costs of your recovery don’t get left in your lap.
