Swift Transportation Truck Kills Idaho Teenager

April 1, 2018

A young 19 year old man was tragically killed in an accident in Lewiston this weekend. The accident occurred on March 31, 2018.

According to KHQ, the initial investigation determined that the Swift tractor trailer failed to stop at a stop sign and hit the driver’s side of the teenager’s Toyota Camry. Tragically, the Clarkston Washington teen was pronounced dead at the scene.

Our hearts go out to the family of this teen. There just are no words.

The tractor trailer driver was charged with Vehicular Manslaughter. This is a rare charge. In Idaho, people are arrested for Vehicular Manslaughter when they allegedly commit an unlawful act which contributes to someone’s death. There are additional types of vehicular manslaughter charges available when someone is grossly negligent or kills someone while driving while intoxicated.
