What is distracted driving?

Although distracted driving in Idaho is most often people looking at their phone, any activity which takes a motorist’s attention away from driving their vehicle is distracted driving. Even as vehicles get safer, the number of distracted driving accidents in the US is increasing. In fact, according to the NHTSA, 3,179 people were killed, and 431,000 others were injured in motor vehicle crashes in the US that were attributed to distracted driving in 2014.

Unfortunately, in Idaho, distracted driving is the cause of 20 – 30% of all motor vehicle accidents.
