Head On Collisions in Airway Heights

December 14, 2020

Drivers can be careless or distracted and become a hazard to other motorists, but someone who drives under the influence makes a conscious choice to put everyone else in harm’s way.

A frightening collision and damage to a vehicle are one thing, but accidents, especially head-on collisions, can have lifelong consequences on someone’s health and well-being. A devastating injury can even rob someone of their mobility, mental faculties and freedom.

A driver under the influence of drugs or alcohol should be on the hook for every cost an accident victim faces in recovery and it’s important to make sure they do.

Support for Airway Heights Accident Victims

A victim of a serious collision caused by another driver should expect help with things like hospital bills, rehabilitation costs, and other hardships. Unfortunately, victims may have to file a claim for damages against an at-fault driver’s insurance to make sure they see all of the compensation they’ll need to make a full recovery physically and financially.

This civil lawsuit can demand help for expenses victims might not have considered as they heal. Compensation can be granted for lost paychecks for however many weeks of work an injury victim is forced to miss. Money can also be included for the potential of surgeries or medical care needed in the future. Emotional anguish as a victim copes with a new lifestyle due to injury or anxiety from the accident itself can be covered in a civil claim.

A driver facing charges of vehicular assault can also be facing criminal charges after the accident. Victims can still bring their civil case forward, even if the criminal proceedings haven’t begun. This allows for victims to have a chance to get the compensation they need as soon as possible.
