State Route 904 in Cheney is a nice stretch of road to drive. Unfortunately, on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, a man allegedly walking on the road was hit and injured. According to an article on KREM, the pedestrian was hit just outside of Cheney and taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center, which has a trauma center equipped to handle serious injuries.

At the time of this article, it is not clear if the pedestrian was walking along the side of the road, crossing, or walking in traffic. The KREM article states that “According to the Washington State Patrol, the cause of the crash was a pedestrian violation.
