Drivers can always become distracted or just lose focus and create a hazardous situation. But a reckless driver chooses to put others in harm’s way. By speeding, tailgating, aggressively switching lanes, or running red lights drivers can force other motorists into unavoidable accidents.
The Washington Traffic Safety Commission charts speeding accidents each year. They found that in 2017 172 tragically people lost their lives in speeding-related crashes. Those experts also report that the majority of speeding violations involve people driving too fast for conditions rather than drivers going over a posted speed limit.
Speeding and other reckless choices endanger the drivers behind the wheel and every other person on the road with them.

Support for Spokane Interstate Accident Victims
No matter where we travel, there will always be drivers making careless mistakes on the road. That failure to show caution can be even more heartless when it’s a driver making the conscious choice to behave in a dangerous manner.
Victims of reckless drivers can suffer severe injuries and spend weeks, months, or even years in a long, painful recovery. The driver to blame may be facing felony charges over their mistake, but while criminal motions are underway, victims and their families may be in urgent need of help with hospital bills and basic living costs.
In these tragic cases, victims and their families are permitted to file a civil lawsuit against the at-fault driver and his or her insurance company. This claim for damages can move forward, separate from a criminal trial or hearing.
This lawsuit can earn compensation for the victims and their families for all medical and rehabilitation costs. An award can also replace any income lost as the victim heals. Cases involving severe physical and emotional pain may also increase any potential compensation.
